Coffee and watercolor

No matter where you are, one thing that is likely to remain a constant is the search for a comfortable spot to sit and relax. Where I’m currently residing in Cherokee, NC there’s a little gem of a coffee shop called Qualla Java. The tourists are starting to notice it, but as I tend to do my business in town at an early hour I don’t often have to mingle with them.

Qualla Java serves up a variety of hot and cold beverages, but seem to have an exceptionally large array of sweet concoctions compared to other java stops. My personal favorite is the rainy day which is now listed as the peacemaker. It a simple black coffee with cinnamon and a touch of sugar. Not too sweet. I like it served up with a dollop of their delicious homemade whipped cream.
